About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Production & Sourcing Associate to support our apparel category lines. You will own the end-to-end production calendar, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery. This is a key operations role focused on execution, communication, and risk management.
What You’ll Do
• Production Calendar Ownership: Maintain and update time & action (T&A) calendars. Track milestones, escalate delays, and ensure on-time delivery across product lines.
• Vendor Management: Maintain the vendor matrix including quote collection, tracking MOQs, lead times, and factory capacities. Identify and recommend second-source vendors for key styles.
• Cost Negotiation Support: Execute FOB and ex-factory cost negotiations within defined parameters. Prepare and compare term sheets for final approval.
• Capacity Monitoring: Track production capacity against purchase projections. Alert leadership to potential capacity or raw material constraints.
• Quality & Compliance Coordination: Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to schedule compliance checkpoints. Record AQL results and follow up on corrective action plans (CAPs).
• Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the hub for daily communication between Design, Planning, and Logistics. Flag and resolve potential blockers early.
• Risk Analysis: Monitor global trends in shipping, raw material costs, and geopolitical developments. Brief the Director on emerging risks and impacts weekly.
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years of experience in apparel production or sourcing, ideally with exposure to both DTC and wholesale environments.
• Strong understanding of factory costing sheets, incoterms, and lead-time calculations from PO to ex-factory.
• Experience managing vendors across multiple regions; familiarity with LATAM or APAC is a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, basic macros).
• Proactive communicator with the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts under tight timelines.
