We are currently seeking an experienced Freight Broker with a proven track record in building a book of business to join our team working in the hot North Carolina market! This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth of our freight brokerage operations and make a significant impact in the logistics industry.

Job Overview: As a Remote Freight Broker , you will be responsible for managing the movement of freight, building relationships with clients, and growing your book of business. Your focus will be on generating new leads, cultivating long-term relationships with shippers, and increasing revenue streams. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on customer service and operational excellence.

This is a 1099 role to start, with the opportunity to train and move into a Management role with salary and comissions!

Key Responsibilities:

* Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand your book of business. Build and maintain relationships with shippers, freight carriers, and other partners.
* Freight Management: Coordinate the movement of freight, negotiate rates, and manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and support.
* Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to develop effective strategies for growing your portfolio.
* Collaboration: Work closely with our operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of all shipments and a seamless experience for customers.
* Reporting and Metrics: Monitor your performance and regularly report on key business development metrics, including sales goals, customer retention, and revenue growth.

Qualifications:

* Proven Experience as a Freight Broker with at least 5 years of experience in the logistics industry. MUST HAVE!!
* Proven Success in Business Development: Demonstrated experience in building and managing a book of business in a freight brokerage environment. Preferably with a book to transfer over.
* Strong understanding of freight market trends , pricing, and supply chain logistics.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills , with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
* A high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines.
* Strong proficiency in freight management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
