Job Description

Seeking an experienced IT Internal Audit Advisor to serve as a key member of the Audit Issue Follow-Up Team, responsible for overseeing, planning, executing, and reporting on IT-related issue validation activities. This role monitors the organization’s overall IT risk environment and ensures timely, accurate, and well-supported closure of audit issues. As a senior contributor and subject matter expert, the Advisor will coach, mentor, and provide guidance to audit team members, helping elevate audit quality and analytical capability across the function.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on IT Audit experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and threat management.
• Proven experience leading IT audits and coaching audit staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High-level critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capability.
• Strong project management and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools | languages such as Tableau, Python, Power BI, and R.

This role will sit HYBRID in either Washington, DC or Reston, VA
