Description:

You will be the Numerical Control Programmer Senior for the Computer Aided Inspection (CAI) Group. Our team is responsible for supporting a rapidly growing shop by developing and implementing efficient CAI processes on various types of equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Numerical Control Programmer Senior you will be responsible for creating programs for computercontrolled equipment and collaborating with a team to support shop floor operations.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Create programs for computercontrolled machines using engineering drawings and models.


  • Analyze drawings to select machines, machining strategies, probes, and develop workholding concepts.


  • Support the shop floor by troubleshooting issues and providing time estimates for new parts.


  • Research, test, and implement new inspection technology to improve processes.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Degree or higher

CMM programming experience using a Zeiss Calypso package

Proven process improvement and problem solving experience

Knowledge of inspection practices

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills:
Experience programming Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software

Experience with Zeiss Inspect for CT scanning or Structured Light Scanning is a plus

Ability to design fixturing / work holding solutions

Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part inspectability

Experience leading the development and implementation of new processes

Candidate should have a combination of experience and education equivalent to one of the following:
o 5 years machining programming experience plus bachelors degree
o 7 years machining programming experience plus associates degree
o 9 years machining programming experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
