**ENTRY-LEVEL HIRING!!! Painter Helper** **Job Description** Join a vibrant team in a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. We are seeking a dedicated Painter Helper for the **first shift,** working from 6am to 2:30pm. The Paint Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the paint department by preparing parts for operators. This involves pulling and mixing paint, filling out necessary paperwork, and ensuring the smooth operation of racking, un-racking, and part surface preparation processes. **Responsibilities** + Prepare and support the paint department by mixing and pulling paint as needed. + Assist with racking and un-racking of parts, ensuring their readiness for painting. + Stage and prepare orders in accordance with the facility's guidelines. + Fill out paperwork accurately to track the painting process. + Prepare the surface of parts to meet quality standards before painting. + Inspect in-process paint using tools such as duelscope. + Read and interpret basic sketches and blueprints to ensure accuracy. + Utilize inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometer, mechanical gauges, x-ray, and thickness gauges, to verify part specifications. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in paint preparation, mixing, and racking. + Ability to perform inspections using various tools and equipment. + Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills. + Familiarity with inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a metal finishing or painting environment is advantageous. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. **Why Work Here?** Our workplace offers a dynamic environment where teamwork and skill development are highly valued. The environment is collaborative, and employees are encouraged to wear appropriate attire for safety and efficiency. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
