We are looking for a Pharmacy Manager to play an important role at AndHealth.
This is a full-time position located at a Community Health Center in Logan, Ohio .

What you’ll do in the role:
  • Manage the ongoing operations at the pharmacy, and ensure the pharmacy remains compliant with all rules and laws.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
  • Supervises and participates in pharmacy production workflow including insurance adjudication, filling, verification, packaging, and dispensing medications to patients.
  • Verify the accuracy of prescription information for use on prescription labels as well as third party submissions.
  • Ensures the final product dispensed to the patient is accurate and safe for patient use.
  • Responsible for ensuring a balance with retail pharmacy production and specialty patient needs within the workflow.
  • Assist in the development of the pharmacy budget and manage the pharmacy financials for the site.
  • Oversee the pharmacy’s inventory management system by ensuring appropriate inventory acquisition, ordering, control, and maintenance levels.
  • Supervise and actively collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure ongoing medication access for all patients.
  • Supervise pharmacists and ensure they have the appropriate training and resources necessary for clinical care.
  • Work collaboratively with all AndHealth and Community Health Center providers to improve integration and patient clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure all services are provided in a manner consistent with AndHealth policies, procedures and delivery standards.
  • Actively participate in the pharmacy’s Quality Management Committee.
  • Actively provide clinical pharmacy services included in the Patient Management Program.
  • When appropriate, provide certain clinical services using either a protocol or a collaborative practice agreement.
  • Provide clinical services, therapeutic recommendations, and counseling to all patients, including those living with chronic conditions, such as asthma, dermatitis, epilepsy, hyperlipidemia, infertility, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Lupus, Migraine, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, pulmonary arterial hypertension rheumatoid arthritis, and transplant.
  • Regularly review and be familiar with clinical guidelines and literature necessary to manage patients’ specialty care appropriately.
  • Appropriately review patients’ therapy for therapeutic duplications, drug interactions, and potential allergies.
  • Review and recommend medication alternatives, medication consolidation, and dose modification consistent with updated clinical guidelines.
  • Review payor formularies and complete prior authorizations and appeals as necessary for patients.
  • Obtain and document all required information in the pharmacy operating system and the specialty pharmacy software system.
  • Participate in URAC and ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditation preparation and visits, as required.
  • Precept pharmacy interns and students.
  • Any other duties as assigned.


Education & Licensure Requirements:

  • PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
  • Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.


Other Skills or Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy is required.
  • 5+ years of community/retail pharmacy management experience preferred.
  • BLS/CPR is required (or must be willing to obtain within 1 month after starting).
  • Immunization delivery certification is preferred (or must be willing to obtain within 3 months after starting).
  • Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • The position may require some travel; Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.

Additional Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or Blood Titer proving immunity.
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or Blood Titer proving.
  • Hep B3 Series. 
  • (Flu) Influenza required.
  • COVID Vaccine required.
