Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Technology Engineer to join our Broker Commissions Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Extract Transform, Load (ETL) development bringing innovative and problem-solving thought leadership.


This role is responsible for developing and supporting technology solutions to advance the Commissions business domains utilizing technologies such as Informatica, SQL, vendor integrations and data modeling. The IT Engineer IV will work with a team of developers and interact closely with business subject matter experts to design and build solutions that help sell their products.


This Commissions Tech team is focused on building solutions to support business domains around commissions payment processing utilizing SAP's product Agent Performance Management (APM), Informatica, SQL, and file transfers.



Summary of Role

• This is a Lead level position.
• An advanced level of ETL development expertise, can work independently and with a team, and is able to provide guidance and mentoring to junior level developers.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and review business requirements, system requirements, technical requirements and prioritize tasks
• Write clean, testable code using IDMC, Informatica, SQL, vendor integrations, and data modeling
• Work with Azure Dev Ops, GIT and deployment pipelines
• Document physical designs and relevant documents that help reduce longer term maintenance time
• Implement monitoring solutions and logging practices
• Leverage industry standards and best practices for software development including automated integration, test driven development, reusable code, object-oriented design, software configuration management, and use of emerging AI solutions
• Hold code reviews, perform unit testing, participate in paired programming and partner with QA to test for quality
• Test Automation

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 8-10 years of relevant/related experience
• Familiarity working with financially significant applications and commissions payout processes
• Strong ETL development experience
• Expert level knowledge & experience writing SQL queries for Oracle or SQL Server
• Familiarity with agile software development practices
• Troubleshooting abilities, production support experience, and good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP's APM application
• Experience in cloud platforms with end-to-end application building, source controlling and deployment
