We are currently seeking a motivated and caring Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team.
Position Overview:
This dual role is a key part of our clinic operations, providing both front-desk support and hands-on assistance in the treatment area. The successful candidate will be client-focused, organized, and passionate about animal care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, in person and over the phone.
· Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and process payments.
· Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal handling, examinations, and procedures.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and common areas.
· Provide compassionate care and support to pets and their families.
· Perform general administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred, but not required.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
· Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.
· Team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
· Basic computer skills (experience with veterinary software an asset).
· Self-motivated individual, who can see tasks that need to be completed and do them without the need for supervision.
